The Village has recently partnered with the City and Regional Planning Department of the Knowlton School of Architecture at OSU in order to make improvements to the Village. Four graduate students will be working on this project, at no cost to the Village. This project will focus on enhancing Locke Meadow Park and creating a Commerce Street Streetscape plan. These will aid Lockbourne in bringing in recreational tourism and small businesses.
Residents are invited to a Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, March 8 at 6:30pm in the Village Administration building to review and comment on progress made so far by the students. Participants will view draft designs made by the students and have the chance to provide their feedback and reactions to the proposed plans.
This Sustainability Studio will run from February to April and if at any time residents have questions, they are welcome to contact the office at 614-491-3161.
We are very excited to participate in this program, and will continue to update the Village on any new developments!
